User account
Two type of users can be created on Wiotys:
- Manager : acces to all ressources : Devices, Gateways, Application
- Operateur : have a limited acces trough group filtering and limited actions.
Wiotys user account are dedicated to a single personne and shouldn't be shared. The login is an email address. Several manager and operator account can be created.

* If an operator does not have access to all groups of the resource, deletion and modification are forbidden.
Group organisation
Wiotys groups allow to create a flexible organisation of resource in order to match each use case. Groups filter the resources Device/Gateway/Application to authorised user only.
Device and gateway can belong to 1 or several groups. An application server will automatically receive all data from devices in the same group(s).
Managers see all available groups and can create new ones. Operators can only see and modify resources in their authorised groups.
Use cases examples
Smart Industry
In this example, each site is managed locally with specific devices and gateways. For instance Site C devices are using public network connectivity therefore no gateway is needed.
The IT managers access all groups and create new site when needed
The application server is centralised for all sites.
Smart City
In this example, the gateways are managed specifically by the dedicated maintenance team. For each usage, one or more technicians have access only to their group of devices.
The city IT managers access all groups.
Management of application servers
- For each use case group, Water, Waste and Lightg management, the data is sent to a dedicated application.
- Some public buildings can use IoT using dedicated devices and also geting data from devices from other groups.
- A global data storage application is used for long term storage.
LoRaWAN Network Provider
In this example, Wiotys manager act as LoRaWAN Network Provider for several customers. Each customer manage locally their devices and gateways.
Applications are managed by each customers.
